Game Summary
A young boy is dared to go into a haunted house that was abandoned long ago. However, when he enters the house, it becomes alive! Navigate through puzzles, freeze ghosts, and engage with escape room mechanics for an immersive experience.
My Role
In this project, I was in charge of level design and narrative in levels one and two. Additionally, I designed the main menu, credits, and ending scene.
Game Mechanics

Freezing Ghosts
Players can freeze ghosts with a flashlight

Interactable Object Puzzles
Players must solve puzzles to open doors

Battery Meter
Flashlight battery is not infinite, and can be replenished by finding batteries

Game Style
For the game style, we took inspiration from horror games "Phasmophobia" and VRChat game "The Devouring".

Level Design
For the level design, I tried to replicate the feeling of being in a maze--utilizing winding hallways.

Menu, Credit, & Game Over screens
For Menu, Credits, and Tutorial screens, I utilized the blue light and painting motifs that aided the player as they continued throughout the level.
For the Game Over screen, I made it appear as if the player got taken away by a ghost, and all that remained of the player was the flashlight they dropped.
